For over 120 years

These fig trees have been around since 1889. A small pice of land was declared a reserve for plantation, in what is now Brisbane’s CBD, on the 16th of May. A good date indeed. Their original purpose was to give provide a place for workers to rest.
Walking through the city they can almost be overlooked, except for the peculiar way their roots seem to hold their branches.
