The oldest rainforest

Believed to be around 135 million years old, it is the oldest tropical lowland rainforest in the world.
It is no wonder that around 400,000 people visit the Daintree Rainforest every year: it is the only place in the world where two World Heritage sites meet! The other one is the Great Barrier reef, just in case you were wondering.
Cassowaries can be found running wild in the Daintree, though it takes patience, time and luck! We had no luck with the Cassowaries but we did with the crocodiles!
